Information We Collect
1.1 Account Information
When you create an account, we collect the following depending on your chosen authentication method:
Google Sign-In: Name, email address, and profile photo URL as provided by Google
Apple Sign-In: Name and email address (or Apple's relay email if you choose to hide your email)
Email Registration: Email address and a securely hashed password
1.2 Onboarding Profile Data
During onboarding, you may voluntarily provide:
Your first name and age
Primary content platform (e.g., TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels)
Content niche and type
Growth goals and current challenges
Posting frequency
Notification preferences
A digital signature as part of your commitment
1.3 Video and Audio Data
When you submit a video for analysis, the App processes the following:
Video frames: Up to 8 frames are extracted locally on your device, compressed, and transmitted to our servers for AI analysis
Audio: If your video contains speech, the audio track is extracted and transmitted for transcription
Video metadata: Duration, frame timestamps, and temporal phase labels
Important: Video frames and audio data are processed in real-time by our AI systems and are NOT permanently stored on our servers after analysis is complete.
1.4 Analysis Results
We store the results of your video analyses, including Max Scores, feedback, and AI-generated scripts. This data is stored both locally on your device and in our secure database to provide your analysis history.
1.5 Chat Conversations
Messages exchanged with the AI Chat Assistant ("Chat with Alfred") are stored locally on your device. Chat content is not transmitted to or stored on our servers.
1.6 Usage and Analytics Data
We collect anonymized usage data to improve the App, including:
Feature usage patterns (e.g., number of analyses performed, features accessed)
App performance metrics
Streak and engagement data
Subscription status and billing events
1.7 Device Information
We collect basic device information for compatibility and error reporting:
iOS version and device model
App version and build number
A locally generated device identifier (not your Apple IDFA)
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
To provide, operate, and maintain the video analysis services
To personalize your analysis feedback based on your profile (platform, niche, goals, and challenges)
To manage your account, authentication, and subscription
To enforce usage limits for free-tier users
To deliver notifications you have opted into (daily reminders, streak alerts)
To track your analysis history and progress over time
To detect and resolve technical issues via crash reporting
To improve the accuracy and quality of our AI analysis
To communicate important updates about the App or your account
We do NOT use your data for third-party advertising. We do NOT sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party.
3. Third-Party Services
The App relies on the following third-party services to deliver its functionality. Each service operates under its own privacy policy:
Supabase (supabase.com): Cloud infrastructure for authentication, database hosting, and serverless functions. Your account data and analysis results are stored on Supabase's infrastructure.
OpenAI (openai.com): AI processing for video analysis and audio transcription (via GPT-4o and Whisper). Video frames and audio are sent to OpenAI's API through our secure server-side functions.
RevenueCat (revenuecat.com): Subscription management and in-app purchase processing. RevenueCat receives your anonymized user ID and subscription events.
Sentry (sentry.io): Error monitoring and crash reporting. Sentry receives anonymized error data and device information to help us diagnose and fix issues.
Apple: Push notification delivery and in-app purchase processing via the App Store.
4. Data Storage and Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data:
Authentication tokens are stored in your device's secure Keychain (hardware-backed encryption)
All data transmissions between the App and our servers use TLS encryption
Certificate pinning is implemented to prevent man-in-the-middle attacks
API keys and sensitive credentials are obfuscated and never stored in plain text
Video frames and audio are processed transiently and not retained on our servers after analysis
Analysis history is stored both locally on your device and in our encrypted database
Passwords are securely hashed and never stored in plain text
5. Data Retention
Account data: Retained for as long as your account is active
Analysis history: Retained indefinitely for Premium subscribers; 7 days for free-tier users
Chat conversations: Stored locally on your device only; deleted when you clear chat history or delete the App
Onboarding profile: Retained while your account is active; deleted upon account deletion
Video frames and audio: NOT retained after analysis processing is complete
6. Your Rights and Choices
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
(a) Account Deletion: You may permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from the App's Settings. This action removes your profile, analysis history, and all personal data from our servers and your device.
(b) Notification Control: You may enable or disable notifications at any time through the App's Settings or your device's system settings.
(c) Data Access: You may view your analysis history and profile data within the App at any time.
(d) Withdraw Consent: You may stop using the App at any time. Deleting the App removes all locally stored data.
For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), you may also have the right to data portability, the right to restrict processing, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
7. Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Age verification is enforced during onboarding — users must confirm they are 13 years of age or older to create an account. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected data from a child under 13, we will promptly delete such information.
INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS
Your data may be processed in countries other than your country of residence, including the United States (where our third-party service providers operate). We ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your data in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the App or via email. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy indicates when the most recent revisions were made. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
